Students will use the Interactive Pages they made in the previous lesson that lists the main jobs and responsibilities of the public officials at each level of government.
During this two-part lesson, students will watch a Slideshow which lists the specific public officials in each office studied during the previous lessons. At this time, students will be able to add Photographs of these Officials to their foldable. The Photographs are printable with two sets per page, so this will reduce the amount of paper you will need to use.
The second part of this lesson allows the students access to a ThingLink Interactive Image where they can learn more about their specific government officials. Students should be given Chromebooks so that they can explore the ThingLink image. Students will be responsible for writing down a fun or interesting fact about each of the officials, which completes their Significant Figures in Local, State and Federal Government foldable. An example of what this should look like is available here. The completed foldable could be used as a form of assessment for this lesson.
